Most Companies Have a Whistle Blower Program Available
When ever you start working for a company, there has to be some checks and balance in place. Most of your companies have a chain of command, or a hierarchy that has to be maintained. This is how a company runs smoothly. You have the working staff, then of course the supervisors, then the middle management and so on to the top. Depending on how big the company is, the top-level executives, rarely know what is going on in the working section. They rely on the supervisors and the middle management to keep them informed on things that are going on. This can be bad, because if there is a problem with someone in the working section or even in the supervisor, or middle management section, the top brass do not know about it.
That is why most of your companies have implemented a whistle-blower program, so that people in the lower levels can let the top level executives know what is going on their company. An example of this is sexual harassment. This has been an ongoing problem in small companies as well as large companies. So, what do you do if your supervisor, or someone from the middle management is sexually harassing you?
This is where the whistle-blower program comes in. This allows a worker to be able to lodge a formal complaint against her superior without the threat of being fired. It allows the worker to deal with the problem at hand and to be comfortable in the work environment. It also allows the upper level management to know exactly what is going on in their company. This is also true for any criminal activity that maybe going on in the company as well.
The sec whistleblower program has allowed lower level employees to express issues and problems that are going on within their company and it has given them a voice to be heard.
